Important Reminder to Parents and Carers
We have recently become aware of concerns involving damage to trees, planted areas, and local wildlife habitats, as well as incidents of littering, unauthorised bike tracks/ramps, and small fires being started in green spaces.
Please be aware that:
Deliberate damage to trees, vegetation, or wildlife areas is criminal damage.
Littering is an offence.
Starting fires, including small or “controlled” fires, is extremely dangerous and may constitute a criminal offence, particularly where there is risk to people, property, or the environment
These behaviours can cause serious harm to wildlife, destroy natural habitats, create significant fire risks, and endanger other children and members of the public.
Incidents may be investigated and could result in enforcement or criminal action.
We ask that you speak with your children about:
*Respecting green spaces, trees, and wildlife *Not cutting, breaking, or altering land, trees, or fencing to create bike ramps *Never lighting fires in parks, wooded areas, or open land *Taking all litter home or using bins provided *Using designated, authorised areas for cycling and recreation only
We appreciate your support in helping to protect our shared environment and in preventing behaviour that could place people, property, and wildlife at risk.
Thank you for your cooperation. |
